This action-packed journey showcases the very best of Alaska’s wild beauty and rugged charm. Starting in Anchorage, you’ll quickly head south along the stunning Seward Highway, one of America’s most scenic drives. In Seward, hike the Harding Icefield Trail for sweeping glacier views—whether you take the full trek or opt for a shorter walk to the base of Exit Glacier, you’ll find yourself immersed in breathtaking scenery where wildlife sightings are common.
Seward offers a full day to explore at your own pace. Optional activities include a Kenai Fjords National Park boat cruise to spot whales and glaciers, sea kayaking Resurrection Bay, or visiting the Alaska SeaLife Center. From there, the route heads north to the quirky town of Talkeetna, with its lively microbrewery, shops, and optional adventures such as a jet boat tour, river float, or even a scenic flightseeing trip over Denali—weather permitting.
Next comes the crown jewel: Denali National Park. Here you’ll take in a dog sled demonstration, explore the visitor center, and journey deep into the park on a scenic shuttle to Mile 43. Along the way, watch for moose, caribou, Dall sheep, and with luck, bears. Optional activities include hiking local trails, rafting the Nenana River, or returning to the skies for another chance at Denali flightseeing. With two full days in and around the park, you’ll experience both its sweeping wilderness and intimate encounters with Alaska’s iconic wildlife.
The adventure concludes with a stop at the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Museum before returning to Anchorage. Share a farewell dinner (optional) with your new friends and reflect on a week filled with glaciers, fjords, wildlife, and the grandeur of Denali itself. With a mix of guided highlights and flexible free time, this Alaska tour balances activity, culture, and wide-open space—perfect for travelers who want to see and feel the untamed spirit of “The Last Frontier.”
